Silk brocading is a process decorating a Thangka in traditional Tibetan style. The frame is made of beautiful silk fabric having rich colors pigment and patterns.

Thangka Brocade adds a very beautiful finishing to any thangka painting. These Traditional Embroidery thangka are very durable and beautiful when hanged in your meditation altar space or your House.

These beautiful, sacred pieces of art carry with them the energy of the tradition, the deities, and the artists. Traditionally, a cloth covering is used to contain the painting’s energy as well as to protect the thangka when it is not in use. When the thangka is being used or displayed, the cloth is drawn up to form a drape resembling a flower. Stitched to either side of the cloth hang two decorative red streamers.

Please make sure you have added both the thangka and brocade to your cart. Please give around 3 - 5 days for the brocade to be added on your thangka painting.

Excellent Amitabha Pure Land Thangka

We received the beautiful intricate thangka of Amitabha in His Pure Land Dewachen promptly and safely. It is exquisitely painted and was perfectly framed in high quality brocade upon my request. I’m greatly pleased the experience I’ve had with Art of Tibet and highly recommend Art of Tibet to others who might be in search of high quality and authentic sacred Tibetan Buddhist art works. May All Beings Benefit! K. Guerra

Great brocade frame!

For the second time in the past year, the Art of Tibet silk brocade framing I got with my thangka was splendid. Matched the image perfectly and was expertly executed. Based on my experience, one should all get their brocade frames when purchasing a thangka.

Wonderful framing job!

As noted in another review, I recently purchased a beautiful thangka from Art of Tibet and was glad to see that they offered a framing option. The end result was perfect!

Exquisite & interesting thangka with Amitayus, WhiteTara & Ushnishavijaya guardians

Being able to choose a brocaded silk frame allowed me to opt for a woven armour pattern to enhance the protective meaning of the image as well as colour coordinating with the image.
