Buddhists believe that saying the mantra (prayer), Om Mani Padme Hum, invokes the powerful benevolent attention and blessings of the Buddha. Viewing the written form of the mantra is said to have the same effect.
Tibetan mandala is a tantric tool used for concentration and meditation. Tantra is an ancient Hindu practice which means ‘the weaving and expansion of energy’. It can help with tapping into and embracing our inherent energy to be more in tune with body, heart and soul.
Manjusri is an enlightened being known as a bodhisattva ("buddha to be") in the Buddhist traditions of Mahayana and Vajrayana. Manjusri is believed to be the embodiment of enlightened wisdom and is associated with awareness and doctrine. The name comes from the Sanskrit, manju, meaning “pleasant,” “charming” and “sweet”; and sri, meaning “radiant,” “splendid” and “auspicious.” It is typically translated as “gentle glory.”
Manjusri is believed by some to have been a disciple of the Buddha. He is so-described in Mahayana scriptures, but is not mentioned in Pali texts.

To create the ideal pigment for painting, these materials are ground several times. This makes the materials even more durable and long-lasting. Thus, you can surely expect the color of the Thangka to withstand the test of time.
The gold in the ornaments and detailing is made from real gold dust.
