Bhaisajyaguru, also known as the Medicine Buddha or Healing Buddha, is believed to offer spiritual healing and well-being to those who worship him properly. It is said that merely touching his image can bring about healing. In Tibetan Buddhism, Bhaisajyaguru may be depicted as either a Buddha or a Bodhisattva. When shown as a Buddha, he bears the four superior marks of a Buddha, including the urn (a protuberance above the nose) and Ushinisha (a bulge on the skull), which symbolize his enlightened nature. He is usually seated in meditation with his legs crossed, his left hand in meditation mudra holding a medicine bowl, while his right hand, in charity mudra, holds the fruit or a branch of the myrobalan plant—known for its medicinal properties in India and other tropical regions.

Nice addition to my Thangka

Spectacular Kalachakra, shipped to protect and preserve
The mandala arrived in a thin gauge 1.5" hard plastic pipe, not a crushable cardboard tube. It was taken to an artist who's done custom framing for over 40 years. When the mandala was rolled out she was stunned by it's colors, beauty, gold highlights, detail and intricate designs in multiple (as was I) and had never seen anything like it in her 40 years. It will receive 99% UV protective, non reflecting museum quality glass with a color matched frame. She was awe struck when I explained it's basics, the wheel of time, and how what she was looking at is duplicated in 20-ft. x 20-ft. by multiple monks in sand for a ritual. She asked why the artist didn't sign it and I explained that would be a egoic act and thoroughly juxtaposed to the impermanence of all all things as the wheel of time ensures.
