About the Gelugpa Lineage Refuge Tree
The Gelugpa Lineage Refuge Tree, also known as the Refuge Assembly, Merit Field, or Field of Accumulation, is a sacred representation of the Gelug tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. At the center of the refuge tree is Je Tsongkhapa (Lama Tsongkhapa), the founder of the Gelug school, surrounded by lineage masters, Buddhas, bodhisattvas, meditational deities, Dharma protectors, and enlightened beings. Their names are traditionally inscribed in both English and Tibetan.
The Gelug lineage, known as the “Way of Virtue,” was founded by the great master Je Tsongkhapa in the 14th century. Renowned for its emphasis on ethical discipline, deep philosophical study, and meditation practice, the lineage traces its teachings back to Shakyamuni Buddha through an unbroken transmission of realized masters. The Gelug tradition became one of the most influential schools of Tibetan Buddhism and is closely associated with the Dalai Lamas and major monastic universities of Tibet.

Beyond all expectations
A very serious company that delivers on its promises. I purchased a thangka surrounded by damask fabric. The craftsmanship was excellent, and I was amazed by the quality and colors. The material arrived, well packaged, two days earlier than expected, despite having been shipped from Nepal.
A well-deserved five stars.

Gorgeous
I had debated whether I’d just get my own frame for my mandala instead, but now I’m so thankful I got the silk brocade frame. It does so much to elevate the beauty of the mandala and invite me to look at it with intent every time I pass it. Well worth it!
