About Hayagriva Thangka Art This Thangka painting features Hayagriva, one of the emanations of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara. Hayagriva is regarded as Yidam or Istadevata, a powerful deity in Tibetan Buddhism. Known for his terrifying appearance, Hayagriva is often depicted with three faces, six arms, and four legs, sometimes accompanied by large wings. The main head of Hayagriva is surmounted by a small horse head, which neighs loudly, said to pierce through the false appearances of inherent existence.
Hayagriva is revered for his fierce compassion, which is directed toward ego grasping and self-cherishing attitudes. His wrathful nature is an expression of protection, cutting through obstacles and negative attachments. As described in the Sadhanamala, Hayagriva is red in color, with three eyes, bare fangs, and a brown beard. He wears a garland of skulls, symbolizing the impermanence of life, and is crowned with a figure of Amitabha.
Hayagriva’s second face is that of a blue horse, which continuously neighs, further symbolizing his powerful presence. He is depicted trampling on the world and adorned with snake ornaments and tiger skin. Hayagriva holds a Vajra and a staff in his hands, symbolizing the destruction of ignorance and the protection of the Dharma.

Earlier I had a statue arrive broken and they absolutely stood by their product and made more than right. I highly recommend this seller and will continue to buy from them - Russ
I’m completely satisfied that I chose to add the silk frame because it sets off the sacred quality I attach to the Amitabha thangka especially well. It took a moment to decide which id choose because of the excellent selection offered!
This thangka was my first purchase from Art of Tibet and I’ve been very pleased with the quality of the art, their efficiency in producing and delivering it, and the rich addition it makes to my life. I’d recommend this line of craft and those who make it available around the globe.
Spectacular Kalachakra, shipped to protect and preserve
The mandala arrived in a thin gauge 1.5" hard plastic pipe, not a crushable cardboard tube. It was taken to an artist who's done custom framing for over 40 years. When the mandala was rolled out she was stunned by it's colors, beauty, gold highlights, detail and intricate designs in multiple (as was I) and had never seen anything like it in her 40 years. It will receive 99% UV protective, non reflecting museum quality glass with a color matched frame. She was awe struck when I explained it's basics, the wheel of time, and how what she was looking at is duplicated in 20-ft. x 20-ft. by multiple monks in sand for a ritual. She asked why the artist didn't sign it and I explained that would be a egoic act and thoroughly juxtaposed to the impermanence of all all things as the wheel of time ensures. Thank you very much for the rapid shipping and exquisite high quality Kalachakra Mandala. May all at Art Of Tibet enjoy good health and full hearts. Om, Thomas
I am more than satisfied with the beautiful craftsmanship of this mala. It has quickly become my favorite to use for teaching & practicing Kundalini yoga & gong healing. The attention to detail, handsome design, and quality of materials are even more profound than looking at the online picture.
I have so much gratitude to the artist(s) and craftsfolk of this Thangka. The colors are vivid and stunning, even more beautiful in person than in the pictures. White Tara was radiant and soothing as soon as I opened the Thangka. She is exactly the energy I've been needing to connect with during a difficult time. I would be interested in knowing the names of the artist(s) if that is permitted? I would like to dedicate merit to them as well in appreciation.
Delivery was clear, easy to track, and well communicated.
I bought this bracelet for my wife as a gift and she absolutely loves the bracelet. The product is great quality, beautiful colors, compliments her arm tattoo sleeve, and is easy to operate without any help from me in tightening it. She also loves the face she can wear it in water as does not take her bracelets off.
It is an exquisite piece of mala beads! I’m very impressed with the stones and the beauty of the colors. It feels cool when you first put in on. It means the stones are genuine. I adore it!
