Of all the deities in Mahayana Buddhism, the bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, Chenrezig, is one of the most celebrated. He is the lord gifted with complete enlightenment, who refrains from entering the blissful state of nirvana to remain here below and save the living being of the earth. This devotion to the salvation of others emphasizes the profound compassion.

Compassion for others had always been regarded as a virtue in early Buddhism, but it had a somewhat subordinate place to wisdom. In Mahayana Buddhism, compassion received an equal emphasis with wisdom, perhaps because the Mahayana was more consciously universal and covered a wider sector of society. In this view of the world, all men and women, not just those leading a monastic life, could achieve nirvana.

Amitayus (Amida or Amitabha) is a spiritual buddha known for his longetivity .  Amitayus is the leading buddha in Pure Land Buddhism, a branch of East Asian Buddhism. In Bajrayana Buddhism. He magnetize red fire element, the aggregate of discernment, pure appreciation and the deep acknowledgement of emptiness of phenomena. According to these scriptures, Amitayus maintains infinite merit following from good attitudes over countless past lives as a bodhisattva named Dharmakara. Amitabha  termed “Infinite Light”, and Amitābha is also named as “The Buddha of Immeasurable Light and Life” . This is the reason Amitayus also code -named as  “Infinite Life” .

Guru Padma Sambhava, popularly known as Guru Rinpoche, the precious teacher was a  powerful Tantric Buddhist Master. He subdued many harmful spirits and forces that hindered the spread of the teachings of Buddha Shakyamuni. With his miraculous powers, he taught many disciples who also became perfect masters of Tantric Buddhism. He is said to have twenty-five great disciples who were instrumental in preserving the sacred teachings of Lord Buddha to the present day.

Guru Rinpoche’s body is golden in color and is attired in a gown, a monastic robe, and a brocade cap. He has one face, two arms, and is seated in the posture of a king. In his right hand, he holds a vajra scepter and in his left hand, a skull cup containing a vase of immortality. In the curve of his left arm is his divine consort of bliss and emptiness in the form of the khatvang Trident.

Each thangka is created using traditional methods and strictly adhering to the proportions of deities as they are laid down in Buddhist scripture.
