Ekajati Thangka – The Fierce Protectress of Mantras
This 100% hand-drawn Thangka depicting Ekajati, the supreme protectress in the Vajrayana pantheon, is a powerful symbol of spiritual protection and strength. Crafted in Kathmandu Valley, Nepal, this unique Thangka serves as a striking addition to any home or office décor. Its spiritual significance makes it an ideal centerpiece, while also being a valuable asset for meditation and spiritual practice.
Ekajati, whose name means "one whose hair is arranged in a single chignon," is an embodiment of the wrathful, protective energy of Vajrayana Buddhism. She is often depicted with a fierce expression, her powerful presence emphasized by a pronounced single eye in the center of her forehead, a defining feature of her iconography.
Appearance: Ekajati’s dark and menacing image is enhanced by her flame-enhaloed aura and nearly naked form. Her fierce expression is complemented by a single fang protruding from her mouth, symbolizing her power to destroy obstacles.
Attire and Symbolism: She is adorned with a necklace of severed human heads, a symbol of her control over destructive forces. A tiger-skin covers her hips, adding to her fierce nature.
Powerful Posture: In the pratyalidha or warrior pose, she stands poised, holding an impaled human corpse in her right hand, while her left hand dispatches a female wolf messenger, signifying her supreme ability to protect and maintain spiritual integrity.
Spiritual Significance and Key Benefits
Protector of Mantras: Ekajati is the ultimate guardian of mantras, preventing their misuse and ensuring they retain their power. She guards these sacred sounds, ensuring they are protected from those unworthy to use them and that they are never lost.
Overcoming Obstacles: Her practice is believed to clear all obstacles and bring good luck and intense religious benefit to those who engage with her energy, particularly through the recitation of her mantra.
Powerful Protection: As the most powerful goddess in the Vajrayana tradition, Ekajati provides strong spiritual protection against harmful forces, both physical and metaphysical.
A Transformative Piece of Art This Ekajati Thangka not only serves as a captivating work of art but also brings spiritual protection and empowerment to those who meditate in her presence. Whether displayed in your home or as a part of your spiritual practice, it will help to maintain the purity and power of your practices, bringing clarity and protection to your journey.

My second thangka from Art of Tibet has arrived and it’s as wonderful as the first one I purchased within the last year. The brocade frame is similarly spectacular. The order arrived on time and was expertly packaged to avoid damage in transit (straight from Nepal in this case—I think it came via Sweden last time).
The artist(s) who produced this striking thangka deserve the highest praise possible. They execute their art with true dedication and outstanding talent.
My congratulations to one and all of you who are involved in Art of Tibet.

Nice addition to my Thangka
I’m completely satisfied that I chose to add the silk frame because it sets off the sacred quality I attach to the Amitabha thangka especially well. It took a moment to decide which id choose because of the excellent selection offered!
This thangka was my first purchase from Art of Tibet and I’ve been very pleased with the quality of the art, their efficiency in producing and delivering it, and the rich addition it makes to my life. I’d recommend this line of craft and those who make it available around the globe.
Spectacular Kalachakra, shipped to protect and preserve
The mandala arrived in a thin gauge 1.5" hard plastic pipe, not a crushable cardboard tube. It was taken to an artist who's done custom framing for over 40 years. When the mandala was rolled out she was stunned by it's colors, beauty, gold highlights, detail and intricate designs in multiple (as was I) and had never seen anything like it in her 40 years. It will receive 99% UV protective, non reflecting museum quality glass with a color matched frame. She was awe struck when I explained it's basics, the wheel of time, and how what she was looking at is duplicated in 20-ft. x 20-ft. by multiple monks in sand for a ritual. She asked why the artist didn't sign it and I explained that would be a egoic act and thoroughly juxtaposed to the impermanence of all all things as the wheel of time ensures. Thank you very much for the rapid shipping and exquisite high quality Kalachakra Mandala. May all at Art Of Tibet enjoy good health and full hearts. Om, Thomas
I am more than satisfied with the beautiful craftsmanship of this mala. It has quickly become my favorite to use for teaching & practicing Kundalini yoga & gong healing. The attention to detail, handsome design, and quality of materials are even more profound than looking at the online picture.
I have so much gratitude to the artist(s) and craftsfolk of this Thangka. The colors are vivid and stunning, even more beautiful in person than in the pictures. White Tara was radiant and soothing as soon as I opened the Thangka. She is exactly the energy I've been needing to connect with during a difficult time. I would be interested in knowing the names of the artist(s) if that is permitted? I would like to dedicate merit to them as well in appreciation.
Delivery was clear, easy to track, and well communicated.
I bought this bracelet for my wife as a gift and she absolutely loves the bracelet. The product is great quality, beautiful colors, compliments her arm tattoo sleeve, and is easy to operate without any help from me in tightening it. She also loves the face she can wear it in water as does not take her bracelets off.
It is an exquisite piece of mala beads! I’m very impressed with the stones and the beauty of the colors. It feels cool when you first put in on. It means the stones are genuine. I adore it!
I am so happy with my purchase the detail is utterly sublime and shipping and customer service are second to none. Thank you so so much for your beautiful products x
I love my set of Tibetan Singing Bowls. They all sound beautiful and deliver was very quick! I will go to the Art of Tibet for my future bell or other items that I want!
I ordered a Tangka painting. The quality is excellent, even earned the compliment by a Chief Monk. The delivery was swift (only took 3 days from Nepal to Hong Kong).
