About The Four Friends Thangka Art
The Four Friends Thangka presents a heartwarming story about the bond between four animals—an elephant, monkey, hare, and peacock—who, one sunny day, discuss which one of them is the oldest.
- The elephant shares that the tree had already grown tall when it was young.
- The monkey adds that the tree was small when it was young.
- The hare mentions seeing the tree grow from a sapling.
- The peacock reveals that it had excreted the seed from which the tree grew.
The animals then realize that the peacock is the oldest, and they all live together in harmony, supporting one another and enjoying the fruits of the tree. In the end, it is revealed that the partridge was the Buddha in a previous life.
This Thangka embodies the essence of friendship, cooperation, and shared resources, bringing a message of unity and the importance of working together for the greater good.

THANGKA, A SACRED ART
Tibetan Thangka paintings, also known as the “Art of Enlightenment”, are sacred pieces of art that are rich in symbolism. They are important supports that are revered for meditation and visualization.
The Tibetan thangka meaning goes deeper than just sacred art and conveys reverence. An art form is genuinely sacred when it awakens a direct experience deeper than our ordinary selves and the material world in the mind.
We are proud to offer our customers only the best selection of Tibetan art. All our paintings go through a rigorous screening process in our studio and are guaranteed to be origianl and authentic.
100% COTTON CANVAS & NATURAL MINERALS
Preparing the Cotton canvas before starting to paint a Thangka. This process includes washing, drying, stretching, sizing and everything needed to make a perfect base for the thangka to last for centuries.
Thangka paintings are painted using natural minerals such as agate, gold, silver, cinnabar, saffron, ocher, rhubarb, lapis and many other minerals. To create the ideal pigment for painting, these materials are ground several times. This makes the materials even more durable and long-lasting. Thus, you can surely expect the color of the Thangka to withstand the test of time.
The gold in the ornaments and detailing is made from real gold dust.
Let customers speak for us
Beautiful Ganesh Mandala painting, as it appears in the photo. This is my 3rd purchase from Art of Tibet for quality and clarity of what you are purchasing.
This painting express beauty, natural power, spiritual awareness and fundamental love. The quality of the material is really good. Thank you so much! It is an honor to have it around. 🩷
Very happy with my purchase, great quality and arrived quicker than I thought
Beautiful item, well made
This mala is beautiful and well made. This is the 9th mala I have ordered and each one is a work of art.
I put it on and immediately it felt right. The weight feels grounding and the aquamarine stones bring me to the sea. I can feel the loving hands and hearts that created this beautiful mala.
Thank you dear Nepalese artist who painted my White Tara Thangka. It is not only beautiful , but the sacred vibrations shine out when I lift and shape the silk panel into a silken flower shape. The workmanship is excellent and the vibrant colours are a constant delight.
Thank you
Perfect

Beautiful
My story begins with the purchase of a full Fire Horse Moon Bowl collection. That fiery, energizing collection is quirky and brilliant. I learned though that bowls created under the Super Flower Blood Moon offer healing and transformation, and I need both. I began by buying a simple crown chakra bowl, to draw the heat from my body. It arrived from halfway around the world in perfect condition, and it’s sound was so luminous, I decided to buy the whole set!! I am thrilled about my purchase and I am deeply grateful to Mila for his assistance. I find it a bit funny that my bowls have traveled more than I have, originating in Kathmandu and passing through Dubai and Leipzig before arriving in the middle of the United States!! I will keep my eye on the productions of The Art of Tibet, and am most curious about the possibility of a Total Eclipse Blue Moon collection in a few years!
I'm happy with the bracelet, and this is my first healing bracelet. The quality is good, the elastic stretch string has multiple strands for a strong hold, so it was put together well. It also comes with a nice jewelry pouch.
I chose this company because the proceeds support Nepalese artisans including Tibetan and Newari, and I'm happy to support this.
