Amitayus is a Buddha in Bodhisattva form and is associated with long-life along with White tara and Ushnishnavijaya. Amitayus means âinfinite lifeâ and his mantra is âom amarani jivantaye svahaâ . He is closely related to Amitabha, âinfinite lightâ. He is part of the Padma ( lotus) family and holds the kalasa , long life vase, in meditation posture. He is associated with kindness, openness and receptivity.
